Sequences allow you to guide and message a customer over multiple visits and across devices all while maintaining awareness of how the customer responded to the previous message. This allows you to:

  • Communicate complex messages by breaking them down into simple incremental elements
  • Continue the guidance as they move from, say the desktop to a TV device
  • Increase the urgency of the communication as deadlines approach
  • Vary the style of communication over time to find one that the customer is most likely to respond to

Wouldn't it be great if you knew that the customer had not just acted on a guidance but even just having seen it? Sequences let you know just that. Now you can make the next message to the same user conditional on the previous message being seen. When your service is accessed on multiple devices like desktop/laptops, mobile, and TVs, you can use a Sequence to guide the user in a much more contextual manner based on the device they next access your service from.

For example, it may be much more meaningful to show users on a tablet a 1-click guidance to download the next episode of the show they watched. Further, when a user has downloaded based on that guidance, you may wish to promote your premium membership option on a TV device with much lower signup friction through in app billing.
